Coach DeMart
Dan DeMartini
Yorktown High School Class of 2007
Skidmore College Class of 2011
Dan played both basketball and lacrosse for Yorktown High School. He was captain for both squads and received 5 varsity letters over his career. In basketball, he led his team to their first sectional win, and overall winning season in almost a decade. His senior year he finished second in the league with 41 three pointers made. He led his team in both scoring and three pointers and bases his success on learning the moves Coach Ward creates in his clinics. Overlooked as a basketball player, Dan came to Coach Ward at the beginning of his high school career. Realizing that he wanted to one day make his varsity squad, he searched for the best coach in the area to mold him into a prolific scoring threat. Through hard work and determination, Dan went on to become the top flight player he wanted to be. Now, working alongside Coach Ward, he hopes to share his story and playing skills with younger players who need to take their game to a higher level. He is a firm believer in the training practices and system that Coach Ward offers and is excited to be part of the Coach Ward Basketball Program.
Dan was voted as a two-time all section defender in lacrosse receiving honorable mentions from both the Journal News and North County News all section teams. He currently plays Lacrosse for Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY.
